What a licence is
A Nitro licence is a right to run the Nitro extension on one store domain, for as long as that store runs it. It is bought once. It does not expire, there is nothing to renew, and there is no recurring charge of any kind.
The licence covers every system the extension ships. There are no tiers, no add-ons and no features held back for a higher plan.
The extension is licensed, not sold. You may install it on the store the licence covers, modify it for that store's own use, and keep running it indefinitely. You may not redistribute it, resell it, or publish its source.
Domains and multi-store
A licence is bound to a storefront domain, not to an OpenCart installation. If one install serves several storefront domains, each of those domains needs its own licence. Three storefronts on one codebase means three licences.
Unlicensed domains on a multi-store install are simply not accelerated; the licensed ones keep running normally. Nitro reports every configured storefront domain when it checks in, and answers for each of them separately.
A licence can only be issued to a public, resolvable domain. Development hostnames —
localhost, .test, .local, .ddev.site,
loopback and private-range addresses, and bare IP addresses — are refused: they identify
nothing, and a licence against one would cover every machine that uses it.
The trial
Installing the extension starts a 7-day trial for that store domain automatically. There is no account to create, nothing to enter and no card.
Each store domain gets one trial, once, ever. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not grant another, and neither does using a different email address — the trial is recorded against the domain.
When the trial ends, the extension stops accelerating that store until a licence exists for it. Nothing else happens: OpenCart goes back to serving every page itself, exactly as it did before Nitro was installed. Your data, your settings and your store are untouched.
Price and payment
A licence costs what this site quotes at the time you buy it, and that price is what you pay for that licence — a later change to the published price does not apply backwards, in either direction. Prices are in euro.
There is no checkout on this site yet. Licences are issued by hand after payment; the purchase page explains exactly how that works today. What happens if you buy and it does not work for you is on the refunds page.
Revocation
A licence may be revoked for abuse. That means sharing or reselling it, using one licence to cover domains it was not issued for, redistributing the extension, or attacking the licence API — not, ever, for asking too many support questions or for disagreeing with us.
A revoked licence stops being reported as valid, and the extension stops accelerating the store the way it does when a trial ends. We will tell you why.
Warranty and liability
We warrant that the extension does what its documentation says it does. That is the whole of the warranty: no promise of a particular speed, a particular score, a particular ranking or a particular revenue, because those depend on your host, your theme, your catalogue and your traffic, and we cannot see any of them.
Nitro is built to fail open. If any part of it errors, the request continues as though the extension were not installed — a fault in Nitro falls through to stock OpenCart behaviour rather than taking a store down. That is a design principle and it is tested, and it is the reason the practical risk of installing it is low. It is not a promise that no fault can ever have a consequence.
Keep backups, and try new versions on a staging copy first. Our liability for any claim relating to the extension is limited to what you paid for the licence it concerns.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. A change does not alter what a licence you already hold covers: one store domain, lifetime, no renewal.
